Reflexology is a complimentary health therapy that works through gentle, targeted touch on specific points of the feet, hands and lower legs. Based on the theory that these areas correspond to different parts and systems of the body, it offers a deeply relaxing experience that supports your overall sense of wellbeing – physically, emotionally and mentally.
A session that begins with you
At Coachology, no two sessions are the same, because no two people are the same. Before we begin, I take time to understand what’s going on for you – your life, your body, how you’re feeling. From there, each treatment is shaped entirely around you as a whole person, in a space that is safe, confidential and completely without judgement.
Why reflexology
Many of us are running on empty without realising it – caught in the relentless pace of modern life, carrying stress in our bodies long after the moment has passed. Reflexology gently invites your nervous system settle. Clients often leave feeling calmer, lighter and more able to meet the demands of their life with a little more ease.
Life isn’t always straightforward. Whether you’re navigating menopause, adjusting to motherhood, returning to work after a career break, or simply carrying more than feels comfortable right now – reflexology can offer a valuable pause. A moment to reconnect with yourself. Many clients also find it helpful when managing the effects of stress, fatigue, disrupted sleep, digestive discomfort or persistent aches and pains.
A note on reflexology and your health
Reflexology is a holistic therapy – it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical conditions. While many clients report positive and meaningful experiences, research into reflexology is still developing. If you have any health concerns or ongoing symptoms, please do seek guidance from a healthcare professional.
For an even deeper sense of warmth and relaxation, hot stones reflexology combines traditional reflexology techniques with the soothing comfort of smooth, heated basalt stones. Gently applied during the treatment, the warmth of the stones works to ease tension and improve circulation – creating ideal conditions for deeper work into the reflexes and a more profound sense of release.
Whether you’re recovering from a demanding week, navigating a period of change, or simply craving something that feels truly restorative, hot stones reflexology offers a little extra warmth – in every sense.
Please note that hot stones reflexology may not be suitable for everyone. It is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy, or for those with neuropathy, Raynauds’ disease, arthritis or other autoimmune conditions. If you are unsure whether it is right for you, please do get in touch and we can talk it through together.
Baby reflexology is a gently, nurturing practice that uses feather-light touch techniques to support your baby’s comfort and wellbeing. Delivered as a series of four group sessions, I teach parents and guardians how to use these techniques directly with their own baby. Each class is relaxed, unhurried and completely baby-centred, giving you the space to learn at your own pace in the company of others on the same journey.
The techniques you’ll take away have been found to support baby relaxation and calm, help soothe unsettles tummies, encourage more settled sleep routines and nurture the natural bond between parent/guardian and child. And because you’re learning to do this yourself, the benefits extend far beyond the sessions – these are skills you can build into your daily routines and whenever your baby needs a little extra comfort.
For more information or to find out about upcoming class availability, please get in touch – I’d love to hear from you.
